This family owns a historic farmhouse on a property with a barn and several aging outbuildings. Between a growing business and a house full of boys, the need for real space — for work and for recreation — was obvious. The old buildings couldn’t provide it.

We started where every project starts — in our design studio, working the tension between attractive aesthetics and functional design. Once the design and specs were set, we demolished the run-down shed and built the new building to sit naturally alongside the existing property. We regraded the driveway and surrounding areas for proper drainage, then finished the project with new pavement replacing the crushed stone drive and parking.
